DBT Spring is a Max for Live spring reverb for Ableton Live 11 and 12. It gives you five spring tanks and a tube drive in front of the springs.

What we chased

We wanted a spring reverb that sounds good and stays straightforward. You put it on and it sounds, and the parameters stay fast and intuitive, so you find the sound you are looking for in two seconds.

The controls

TANKS
You can choose one of five spring tanks. Each tank has its own number of springs, its own dispersion and its own ring.

DECAY
The DECAY knob sets how long the springs keep ringing.

TENSION
The TENSION knob goes from a loose, wet boing to a short and bright splash.

DRIVE
The DRIVE knob pushes a tube stage in front of the springs, and the lamps glow when you push it.

LOW CUT AND PREDELAY
The LOCUT knob cuts the low end before the springs, and the PREDELAY knob sets the delay before the splash.

TONE, MIX AND OUTPUT
The TONE knob sets the brightness of the tail, the MIX knob sets the blend and the OUTPUT knob sets the level. The low cut and the mix can both be locked, so they stay in place when you change presets.

ADVANCED EQ
An advanced panel holds a real little EQ, which shapes the tone of the tail.

PRESETS
Ready made presets give you a starting point to explore new sounds.

TWO LOOKS
You can change the look by clicking the screw on the top left. The default look follows your Ableton theme, and the other is the brushed metal tank.

This device works with Ableton Live 11 and 12, and it needs Max for Live.
