DBT Verb is a Max for Live digital reverb for Ableton Live 11 and 12. It offers five kernels, and each kernel builds a different tail.

What we chased

We wanted a modern reverb that is versatile and powerful, and that can serve for everything.

The controls

KERNELS
You can choose one of five kernels. Each kernel builds a different tail.

PRE DELAY AND DECAY
Two knobs set the pre delay and the decay of the tail.

SIZE, TONE AND DEPTH
The SIZE knob makes the room bigger or smaller, the TONE knob tilts the tone, and the DEPTH knob sets the depth of the tail.

WIDTH, MOD AND DIFFUSE
The WIDTH knob widens the stereo tail, the MOD knob moves the tail with a slow modulation, and the DIFFUSE knob smooths it.

FREEZE
The FREEZE button holds the tail, so you can play over it.

RANDOM
The RANDOM button changes the room in one click.

ADVANCED PAGES
The DAMPING page shows a graph of the tails, which lets you shape how long each band rings. The FX page shapes the tail and adds early reflections, grit and shimmer.

LOW CUT AND MIX
The low cut and the mix can both be locked, so they stay in place when you change presets.

THREE LOOKS
You can change the look by clicking the screw on the top left. The default look follows your Ableton theme, and the other two are the green cassette face and the charcoal face.

Good to know

This device works with Ableton Live 11 and 12, and it needs Max for Live.
