DBT Echo Unit is a Max for Live echo with five machines in one box: clean, digital, BBD, tape and drum. It is 100 % wet, made for your return track.

The controls

MACHINE. CLEAN, DIGITAL, BBD, TAPE, DRUM. Five echoes in one box.

ECHO DELAY. 40 ms to 1.6 s, or SYNC from 1/32 to one bar. Move the slider fast: the pitch bends like tape.

CHARACTER. Its name follows the machine: Drive, Crush down to 6 bits, or Age. 0 clean, 10 extreme.

COLOURS. Three knobs per machine: modulation or wow, diffuse or smear, width, hiss or extra heads.

FEEDBACK. Around 5, about 17 repeats. The analog and tape machines run away above 7.

TONE IN THE LOOP. Low Cut, Bass, Treble, High Cut. Every repeat gets a bit darker or thinner.

REPEAT / HOLD. Start or stop the tail live. HOLD freezes the loop.
